Alan Ostreicher has been making photographs for over 25 years. His early work focused on the medium's ability to simultaneously represent and abstract subject matter while more recent work explores issues of time and memory in the context of photography and the photographic process. He graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in American Studies in 1987. His work has been exhibited nationally and is held in numerous corporate and private collections in the United States and Europe. His photographs have been published in The Photo Book Journal, One Twelve Publishing Poignant Portfolios, Float Magazine, Diffusion Annual, Don't Take Pictures, Black and White Magazine, The Photo Review, Conscientious Photography Magazine, and San Francisco Magazine. His first monograph, "Apartment 304", was published in 2020 by Dark Spring Press. He lives and works in San Francisco.
